* Exported from MasterCook * Debbie's Rum Cake Recipe By :Debbie Sopenski Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :1:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 package cake mix -- yellow 1 package pudding mix -- vanilla 4 eggs 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup oil 1/2 cup rum 1 cup nuts -- chopped TOPPING 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup rum Preheat oven to 325oF. Put chopped nuts in bottom of greased floured bundt or 9X13 pan. Mix remaining ingredients in mixer and pour on top of chopped nuts. Bake approximately 1 hour until cake tests done. Combine butter, sugar and water in pan and boil for one minute. Remove from heat and add rum. Poke holes in cake with skewer. Pour topping over cake. Leave in pan to cool.
